Love is not an issue

I just opened up with my husband about the hardship that I am encountering and how I really feel about it. I, together with my office buddies were scheduled for training today. Missing Blogging

Oh, I miss blogging. Being away from the computer for almost two days now makes my butt not being able to stay on the chair…I feel incomplete and disturbed. Really, huh? I tried to peek yesterday using my friend’s I-touch but it got low batt thus it sort of hung and not able to browse through some sites, so we stopped. Scribbling once again

I remember my friend who encouraged me to write and make my own blog. I admit, the biting factor is the opportunity to earn from writing. But believe me, it is more than that. It is like meeting myself again. I used to compose songs, poems and even stories during my younger years. But then again, I forgot or had no time and eventually stopped.She said that she knows I can write again. So, I did. Even though, I am not really a great one but being able to express myself is enough. So, thanks my friend. Photo Hunt- Metal: The Needle

Yes, someone gave some blood! So I took a picture as I thought this could be an entry for this week's theme, metal. Needle is made of metal, right?

They say that if you donate blood, your body system is somehow cleansed because the 450 ml of fluids taken out will be replaced by new one.

I experienced giving blood and it was a good feeling. The only thing I did not like was the inserting of that 3-4 inches needle and when it was being taken out. You would really take that deep breath even if you were not told to do so.

He even looked for culinary schools abroad to find the best one. He did it because they own a restaurant. Now, her cooking skills will be more developed. That means good food for its customers.

David Hernandez was supposed to be one of the better contenders at American Idol. Too bad that not all of America agreed. And, the judges did put him down also, right? During his past performances, Simon even commented that he was one of the best performers in the competition. I think that he is a good singer. But, as they say, it is a contest and someone is just better and is more popular, thus the winner. Anyways, the man has a great career ahead of him. It was told that he is a journalism student. Wow! That was my dream, to become a journalist. So, David, please continue. Maybe you will still be seen in showbizness as you said in your interview. Maybe someday, you can even replace Ryan. Smile!

Learning To Say No

It is quite an issue in the office when someone is a habitual asker. Meaning, he asks about every concern that he handles. It is okay to ask in the beginning but one should also find ways to learn so that time will come that he can go on his own already, right? The sad part is the student sometimes even gets a higher score than the teacher. Often, the one who helps has to render overtime because other parts of his shift was consumed helping others. Well, in fact, that is not his job anymore but that of the supervisors, right?

I am guilty of that scenario when I was new in the call center business. The company that we were handling was continuously innovating and that would mean new products everyday. It was always easier to ask than finding the answer. Until one day, I was told by my supervisor that I should learn the daily updates before or after my shift so that I will not disturb others who were actually working also. That was quite a slap on my face. When I transferred to another department, that happened again. After that, I learned my lesson.

Now, as I see others or when I am the one being asked, I tried to be patient and do my best to help. But, then again, I also know now how to say “No”. I guess, it is not bad at all.

Eating Challenge

My son does not eat chicken, fish, pork, vegetable, and eggs yet. He only eats Hotdogs once in a while. Sometimes, he eats rice but with tomato sauce or soy sauce only. He loves to eat noodles, cookies, yogurt, potato chips and cakes. But, of specific brand only. For cookies, it is Oreo or Chips Ahoy. For potato chips, it is Pringles and for Yogurt- it is Nestle- the strawberry and mango flavor. His staple food is still his precious milk. Do you think not healthy at all? Or, could he be missing some nutrients that he can get from poultry, farm, fish and meat products? I really do not know how he developed such eating habits. That is why it is really a challenge for me. My friends are kidding that I should not feed him anything then he will be forced to eat what is just at the table. Oh, I do not agree to such cruelty, LOL!

That is one of my bigger challenges. I hope I will be successful.

The Real Competition Begins

I already feel sleepy because it is 2324H here already. I feel tired because I went to office for five straight days! So tomorrow will be my precious rest day instead.

So, what is keeping me up? I am waiting for the replay telecast of American Idol. It is now the top 12 and the real competition begins. Yes, I can easily search for the result at Americanidol.com but I want to get some surprise and I want to have my own opinion of how the contestants would fare. My husband did spoil though that Ramiele and even the young David did not sing well. I have to find it out.

I am so glad that there is such thing as blog advertising wherein bloggers are being given a chance to earn some cash! I know some friends who get paid for blogging. Heads or Tails- Green Mangoes

These green mangoes are exactly what I am looking at right now! Our neighbor planted a mango tree 5 years ago and is now bearing fruits! What a lovely sight. All the neighbors are good not picking them up at night! LOL! It is just an arm reach to taste that fruit. And it is planted outside their house. Actually planted beside our gate's post.

The owner actually tried to pull the branches up by tying them but to no avail. Even my little son can get it.

But, of course, we would like to see it grow bigger as they say. That is why, I am shy to take pictures of those so I decided to get from the web courtesy of myhouseinhawaii.com.

What's your favorite thing to spend money on?

Though it is not a favorite really but I guess, I spend most of my money in food!
But, if I really have much money, then I would love to spend on clothes, shoes, bags, make up, perfume, etc.

If you could retire tomorrow what would you do?

I would go on a trip with my family. Visit all relatives and friends that I have not seen for a long time.

Should anything be censored and if so, what and why?

Censorship is always variable. It has been categorized though in terms of movies, magazines, anything in mass media. But, the greatest thing that I think has not been censored is the internet. It is free for all! It is with the parents to be censoring it for kids.

Arnel Pineda: The Journey

Have you heard of the band- The Journey? This band is known for hits like Open Arms, Foolish Heart, Faithfully and of course by its original singer, Steve Perry. One American Idol contestant, Cristy had her rendition of the song Faithfully that mad her landed on the top twelve slot.

How about Arnel Pineda? Do you know him? He is a Filipino and is now the lead singer of the band. The reason I am writing this right now is because my husband has been bugging me to listen to him and know about his story.

My husband has been searching through You Tube and found Arnel Pineda. He blurted out that he is very happy about his success. At first, I was just ignoring him because I am not really into music. Then he said that he was just watching the fellow at Shakeys during his younger years. Arnel Pineda has not been able to get through the local showbiz mainstream here in the Philippines but look at him now, huh!

Finally this morning, I tried listening to Arnel Pineda and he is good. I watched also all the videos about him that my husband downloaded. It was mentioned that his story is like that of Cinderella. And, thanks to internet for his success because he was discovered because he and his band downloaded their gigs at You Tube and it so happened that The Journey’s founder and guitarist was then looking for a new lead singer.

You find that your best friend has stolen money to pay for medical treatment for a seriously ill relative. What would you do?

This is quite a hard question. Maybe I will try to help her to pay for it. I really do not know. But definitely, no blaming her. I will still try to understand.

What three things you regret not learning to do?

Hmmnnn, you've got me thinking, ha!
Maybe things I would like to learn but do not regret of not having learned it yet.
1.dancing- well, I am not much of a good dancer- my husband said I dance out of beat
2.cooking good food- it is my husband who is a good cook
3.sewing- making dresses or clothes for me and my family

A good quote to remember as I go back to work tomorrow after four days of "rest". I actually pray everyday that I will be able to do well in my job and the people I work with will also have the same whisper.

Sign of Wisdom or Old Age?

Sign of wisdom or of old age? I am writing this post because my husband took away some of my white hairs a while ago. How sweet,no?Yeah,his simple acts like that make me love him more.Kaya Lang, as he showed me those white hairs, he commented, looks like hair of a witch!He,he.Well,of course, he was just kidding.So,after a hundred of those and quite painful scalp, it put me down to sleep.Yeah,it was soothing and I felt relaxed. I remember when I was still young, my aunts and uncles would even pay me to pluck out their white hairs.And, yes, the payment was bigger if I was able to put them down to sleep.Now, is it my turn to do that? Am i really that old now to have these white hairs? I had my first white hair even way back during highschool.One or two would show up. There was a saying that if we take that out, it will be many or more will just come out. I always tell though that it is a sign of wisdom. I felt matured for my age during that time. I will tell why in my next posts. Having white hairs or light brown hairs could also be a sign of nutritional deficiency. They say that if you lack protein in your diet, you tend to have thinner and of lighter shade hair. The hereditary factor of course is also there.So, sign of old age or wisdom? Who can tell? With hair coloring, it does not matter anymore. As of me, I think I have white hairs because it is natural. I am aging, becoming wiser, and has not applied those chemicals yet.
