My favorite perfume

Let me Talk Perfume here. I came from a trip last weekend and went through all those scans before finally allowed to enter the airport. I was afraid that my favorite bottle of perfume would be confiscated. To my surprise, it passed the scanning and I was able to bring it to my destination. I did not have to check it in. Oh, that would be a hassle and would kill some of my precious time.

You might wonder what is so special about this perfume? It has a very nice scent. It was a Christmas gift from my cousin in law. It is a French perfume and really smells good. It does not have a brand name but who needs that if you smell the same?

The proxy

My friend asked me to be her proxy in the baptism of her godchild. At first, I thought it would be fine. When I got there, everybody thought that I was her. Well, the people there have not seen her for a long time. I have no blood relations whatsoever to my friend but since we are always together, maybe that did the trick. :)

Fallback

The current global recession gave me a wake up call. Do I have any fallback just in case I would be one of those who would lost a job? That made me think of taking a degree online in the field of information technology maybe since this is the in thing nowadays. The IT experts and consultants are one of the highest paid individuals in the company I am working for. My other choice is a medical course or a masteral maybe which is related to my previous course under allied medical sciences. I know one online university that offers quality education so I just have to decide when I would enroll.

Save energy, save mother earth

How Much Electricity Does a hair straightener consume? How about ironing clothes or opening a refrigerator? How about a water heater? Well, the list could go on but have you not noticed that almost everything inside your home uses energy?

After reading about how much a hair straightener could consume energy, I decided not to buy one anymore. I still could live with wearing my hair up everyday. Now, I know why it costs much to pay for hair blower or ironing service at beauty parlors.

We have to practice some energy saving habits at home. In this time of crisis, every small thing would count. Like not turning the light on whenever taking a shower during daytime. Well, sunlight is always free coming from that small window at the bathroom.

It is not only saving energy so that we could cut on the bills. It is actually saving the mother earth too because each consumption releases carbon dioxide that the environment does not need much of.

Blame it on Adam and Eve

I always say that life is a matter of choice. You might choose to live like a robot in a company that your stomach could not take already. But where would you go? Good for those single persons who just take life as it is and they have no obligation whatsoever. Life has never been easy from the start. Blame it on Adam and Eve? Well, you might just do that just to release that anguish inside your heart. Well, all of us might just have to hope for the best and see the brighter side of your life.

Give that promise

Do you see the picture above? It seems like a peaceful place where you could relax and be peaceful. Is it a resort? No, it is an addiction recovery center. It is from Promises. It has been operating for more than 20 years now and provide the best healing and treatment for those who are victims of drug and alcohol abuse.

It has centers located in Malibu and L.A. I think that it is the best place where you could bring your loved ones who need treatment. You would meet there only the experts and professionals who could really give you that promise of healing.
